INTERNATIONAL TEAM
CO-FOUNDER & CHAIR
Lauren Koek
Co-founder, Chair
Lauren, a third-year student at Singapore Management University, is a passionate advocate for helping young minds unearth their true passions, regardless of their chosen path. Pursuing a degree in Computing and Law with a second major in Innovation and Psychology, she embodies the fusion of diverse interests into a transformative force.
Since 2019, Lauren has channelled her boundless enthusiasm into real-world experiences, interning with innovative startups like Gradient Venture Studio and Intelllex, where she learnt about the art of leading more efficient startup operations. This summer, she ignited her entrepreneurial spirit through programs like McGill’s Dobson Entrepreneurial Women Lean Startup and SMU’s Summer Venture Award. Her unyielding commitment recently propelled her into SMU IIE’s BIG incubator program, where she's shaping an exciting project poised to change the game.
Outside her academic and entrepreneurial pursuits, Lauren thrives in nature, finding inspiration through swimming, hiking, and embracing the world's wonders (MOUNTAINS). Her story radiates an inspiring message of relentless pursuit, innovation, and a fervent desire to guide others towards their ultimate passions.

Eliza is currently studying Political Science and Economics at McGill University. Previously the President of Future Lawyers Toronto, this year marks her third year at Future Lawyers. Passionate about accessibility, she is thrilled to further Future Lawyer’s impact globally.

Huang Hung Yu
Co-Chief Marketing Officer
Hung Yu is currently an undergraduate at the National University of Singapore Faculty of Law. Passionate about law and public policy, she is heavily involved in a variety of ground-up initiatives in these fields, organising and leading many of these projects. As the Co-Chief Marketing Officer, she is committed to increasing the accessibility of information and resources regarding legal education and careers, in the hopes that it will inspire youths to pursue law. In her free time, you can find her cozying up with a book or spending time with her friends.

Susan, also known as Suzy, is a Gr.11 student at St. Robert Catholic High School, enrolled in the IB program! She’s a big fan of the arts, and you can always catch her conversing about anything art related! In her free time, you can catch her listening to music, singing, dancing, watching tv shows, reading, writing, or playing badminton! Fun fact about her is she has a wonderful dog named Sunny, who is the sunshine of her life! She can’t wait to see what the new year brings FLI!

Shania Winter
Content and Research Specialist
Shania, who is a second year student at the University of Toronto, has a love for anything true crime and writing. Due to this weird yet fascinating mix, she is currently pursuing a double major in Criminology and Sociology with a minor in Spanish (due to her love for the language). By being a part of FLI, she hopes to meet and connect with ardent, like-minded individuals whilst sharing legal knowledge and opportunities along the way.

Jie is a Grade 12 student and video editor at Future Lawyers. Their interests range from the arts to the sciences (mainly chemistry). Through working with Future Lawyers they have developed an interest in entertainment and family law, and hope to help other youths learn which sector of law is best for them!

Jasmine Chen
Website Designer
Jasmine Chen is a grade 11 student currently attending the IB program at St. Robert Catholic High School. She enjoys reading, playing the violin, and exploring programming in her spare time, as well as skiing during the winter months. She aspires to help create opportunities for individuals passionate about law through Future Lawyers.

Yolanda is one of the website designers at FLI and a Grade 11 IB student at St. Robert CHS. She is always up for a nice walk outside, either plugged in to her music or enjoying the sounds of nature. She is so excited to help FLI bring law to the youth!

Zoie is currently studying Philosophy at Wilfrid Laurier University, with the hopes of attending law school in the future. At Future Lawyers International, she assumes the role of the graphics lead.
